Going

A couple of times a year UK Trustees go to Kenya to visit the programmes and projects, meet the Kenyan Trustees and to help with the work of Pamoja. Supporters are welcome to join the trips if appropriate. Opportunities to go are listed in the Pamoja newsletter and on this web site. Those who go find it a very moving and motivating experience and see a side of Kenya unseen by most tourists.

If you are interested in going please read the following small print and contact us!

The following conditions apply to all those going on a Pamoja trip to Kenya:

  • All adults going must have a current Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) check submitted to the UK Trustees.
  • The UK Trustees must agree to any person going.
  • All travel and accomodation costs are met by those going and not Pamoja.
  • Funds must be provided to Pamoja up front to cover food costs whilst you are visiting the projects. This is to prevent those we visit being out of pocket or without food because of a visit.
  • It is your responsibility to arrange appropriate insurance for the trip and you must obtain appropriate insurance to cover any medical emergencies.
  • It is your responsibility to have all appropriate vaccinations in a timely manner before going and to take all required medicines (e.g. anti-maleria) whilst in Kenya.

If you are going on a holiday to Kenya and wish to visit a Pamoja project then please discuss with us before you go.
