Kware

Kware is about 20km west of Nairobi where Pamoja have purchased a small plot of land and constructed a Care Centre for up to 24 children, both Boys and Girls. One of the current children is HIV positive and Pamoja is also taking care of their health needs.

The Centre opened in Jan 2004 and is run by Janet and Kioko. The children attend local schools. Pamoja runs an education sponsorship scheme in this area so that children from very poor families can go to school.

The Future

The site is now up and running with additional buildings on the site. Currently one will be used as the Pamoja Office and the other as a guest room. We want to make maximum use of this site and work toward having 26 children there. The aim is to support the children and to find a way for them to support themselves.
